Here’s a story during one of the reader’s fishing trips sent in by an anonymous.
There’s a man who is my father’s friend. Along the way, I have met himand even went fishing with him as well. This man related a story he experienced during a fishing trip in the jungle. Though location wise, he didn’t mentioned at all.
Here’s the story….
A group of them went fishing. One fellow went on his own to fish while the rest stayed together. They managed to catch a few fishes. It was practically getting late and they decided to leave when they realised the guy who went on his own hadn’t return and there was no sound from him as well. So they started calling for him, but after a while there was still no response. It’s mighty peculiar, thinking something might have happened to him.
Okay so they thought he must have went out on his own and probably fell asleep. So they started to make their way out, but then it seems as if they were going nowhere. They were actually going in circles. Immediately they knew something was wrong. Panic started to set in.
They then knew some ‘datuk’ of the jungle was holding them back,so what they did was, they put down the fishes and started to piss everywhere and curse with foul language at the top of their lungs. Suddenly the guy who broke away was standing in front of them.
They were shocked and asked him where he went. The guy answered ‘I was standing here right in front of you guys, I saw all of you pissing and cursing. I called out to all of you but then it seems you guys did not seem to hear’.
They quickly left leaving the fishes caught behind.

The spookiness of this blog has been upgraded with a new header and a new RSS sidebar. Yes, compare to un-spookiness of the previous theme, this has brought the spookiness of this theme to a higher level. Though, somethings need to be done to ensure enthralled spooky headliners.
AbsoluteSpook is now at it’s featus stage with a few more upgrades to be done. Looks like the 7th Month has past, and here we have lotsa spooky stories to compile and present to the readers.

This is after all the ghostly lunar month where the Chinese calls it the Hungry Ghost Festival. Yes, the 七月 (7th Month) is here and during this time, lots of taboos and things are going round. Most traditional Chinese will tell their children to stay out of danger and places during the night and to be wary around for any wandering spirits.
Just when you thought in this modern age there are no such things as spirits, you’ll never know when and where will ‘it’ happen.
Basically this is the time where spirits of the dead gets to roam free on Earth to enjoy the pleasures and to visit their family members who are still living. So of course, you’ll get to see many family members start offering things with candles. Now that’s good? Or rather to celebrate the homecoming of their ‘family’ and also to warned other spirits that they are well protected.
If you have an alarming story, why not contact us here….
Side note: The administrators here will try to get ready the pre-template for this site too. It’s been hanging there for too long.

I know loads of you guys out there like to talk bout ghost and spirits and etc…
But do you guys also know that they like to hear bout themselves too?
My friend told me this, I am just telling back his story in text form. =P
Here goes….
My friend went on some trip with a bunch of his friends. His gang of friends consists of him, a guy with the third eye (let’s just call him A), one that knows alot about chanting certain mantra (religious ones) and several others.
They rented an apartment there to stay for the night that has a balcony outside the living room. So happen that they decided to tell ghost stories to past the time in the living room of the apartment but the friend with the third eye didn’t join them because he need to run to shops to buy stuff.
Before they start, that friend that knows alot about chantings and stuff told them to sit in a circle and hold hands before he starts chanting some stuff to “protect” those who are in the circle telling the stories. Once he’s done they all started to tell their stories one at a time. After awhile when A came back to the apartment he said to his friends “Hey what are you guys doing la?”. To which his friends replied, “What does it look like we’re doing? We’re telling ghost stories lor.”
Then A said, “Did you know there are loads of “fella” that are here listening?” Then his friends said, “What fellas? What are you talking bout man?” A then said, they are all outside, crouching down together in the balcony listening to every single word that comes out of you guys’ mouth.
So you see boys and girls, be careful when you are telling ghost stories….
You’ll never know who / what might be eave dropping on you guys….

As you know the 7th Lunar month is known as the Ghost Month. I’m going to share with you some taboo associated with this Ghostly Month.
1. Avoid saying the word ‘ghost’. Saying the word ‘ghost’ is like inviting ‘them’
2. Avoid going out after dark.
3. Bring in all the clothes that you take out to dry after dark.
4. Do not disturb the offerings.
5. Do not sing after dark as ‘they’ are attracted to it.
These are some of the things that you should avoid doing during that special month.
Until next time, be safe…

How many times we have heard about walking into the forest/jungle and the taboos around it. These are a few dos and don’ts.
1. Before entering the jungle, do all your toilet business first.
2. Ask permission before entering.
3. Never call your friends by name but by sound signals.
4. If a particular rock formation looks very comfortable, like a meeting spot or resting area, do not move it or sleep on it.
5. If a particular tree in a jungle is clean around it, without any leave droppings or looks cleared artifically, don’t disturb it.
6. When you smell jasmine, don’t turn around;pack your stuff and get away as fast as you can.
Final and foremost, whenever if you’re walking in the dark, and you are in the front and counting your members at the back, in the case you got an extra count, just treat everything as normal and reach camp immediately.

I did not believe that people will get possessed, that is until i saw it with my own eyes…
I still remember, about a year ago I was selected for National Service Programme (NS). I left for the camp on the 18th of March 2007. The camp is situated in the middle of a jungle, the surrounding is beautiful. Everything went well for the first few days.
On the 22nd of March, after dinner. All trainees gathered at the dining hall which also serves as a ceremony hall. It was 9pm when we gathered. As the trainers/instructor was briefing us, one Malay girl started to cry. We thought she cried because she missed her family, boy we were wrong big time. She cried as if she is terrified of something. We asked her what’s wrong, but she didn’t say anything and just kept crying. After a while, she passed out.
Five minutes later, she regained consciousness, but all of a sudden she started to scream like nobodys’ business. One of my trainer said she was possessed. We tried to control her. There’s about 6 of us trying to hold her down. But she was stronger than us. After about 15 minutes of struggling, she stay quiet.
The next thing I know, a few person started screaming too. 12 girls, all having their menses. We are asked to leave the hall and proceed to the surau. The trainers then moved all the 12 girls to the surau. The ‘ustaz’ came to do the ‘exorcism’. All I remember is I heard lots of screaming. The whole ordeal ended at 12:30am. We called that night ‘mass possession night’.
We thought it ended there. But one girl in my dorm keep getting visits from her ’special guest’ everday at the dusk. Sometimes she’ll scream like nobodys’ business, sometimes she’ll be quiet as a mouse. Nevertheless, she and I remained good friend until today.
