Looks like there multiple submissions these time around. Prepare for lotsa own life stories from anonymous contributors.

I was a school prefect. Well, ever since then I have been doing my roundings around the school compound every morning (around 6:30am). Well, it was the duty of the prefect to start their perimeter checks. Prefects come early in the morning ( early as 6.30am) to start their perimeter guarding ..which are just walking around the compound of the school. There is a Form 6 (equivalent to A levels) block which has 4 levels on it…and so be it our school was a historical building where those Japanese used it as their headquaters when the World War 2 was here.

You can guess that this historical building was build without much light on it… and it is quite dark in the early morning even when you walk around the corner you cant even see you own fingers.. It all sounded strange one day when two prefects went for their daily routine and while they walked to the highest level of the block..they heard someone crying and mourning. The problem though is they can’t see anything…so they went and and searched the source of the sound. Though suddenly when they head into a corner of the block, what appears before them was a girl with long hair dressed in white, squatting and crying. They thought it was some lost girl or abandoned there.

Thus, they approach to the girl and see what happened to her. Or so it seems then suddenly, the girl stopped crying, and started to make noises and starts laughing. She tilted her head up and to the horror of the prefects, she was staring at them with no eyes, nose and mouth, only the face is visible to them.

What else, the 2 prefects went off running, reporting to the head prefect with their faces all white. Though after that it was funny, nothing was there when the spot check was done.

Remembered I’ve seen it during summer camps one night. It was the last night for the summer camp and I can assure you it wasn’t me only that seen it. What was worst, was my friend even peed in their pants. It was scary, we can’t even shout or run at all. Too scared..

Here’s my description from what I remembered.

- white
- the face is white
- white clothed
- floating on air
- the eye is indescribable, up and down
- mostly all white
- transparent

I believe it is not a projector or some lighting effect. During that time, projector is not that modern and I doubt it can do that effect. The most important part is still not only me but all of us saw it clearly.

Now relating this story made me can’t sleep at night once again. Just like white thing on the banner… *scary*

Here’s a story during one of the reader’s fishing trips sent in by an anonymous.

There’s a man who is my father’s friend. Along the way, I have met himand even went fishing with him as well. This man related a story he experienced during a fishing trip in the jungle. Though location wise, he didn’t mentioned at all.

Here’s the story….

A group of them went fishing. One fellow went on his own to fish while the rest stayed together.They managed to catch a few fishes. It was practically getting late and they decided to leave when they realised the guy who went on his own hadn’t return and there was no sound from him as well. So they started calling for him, but after a while there was still no response. It’s mighty peculiar, thinking something might have happened to him.
Okay so they thought he must have went out on his own and probably fell asleep. So they started to make their way out, but then it seems as if they were going nowhere. They were actually going in circles. Immediately they knew something was wrong. Panic started to set in.

They then knew some ‘datuk’ of the jungle was holding them back,so what they did was, they put down the fishes and started to piss everywhere and curse with foul language at the top of their lungs. Suddenly the guy who broke away was standing in front of them.

They were shocked and asked him where he went. The guy answered ‘I was standing here right in front of you guys, I saw all of you pissing and cursing. I called out to all of you but then it seems you guys did not seem to hear’.

They quickly left leaving the fishes caught behind.

This is after all the ghostly lunar month where the Chinese calls it the Hungry Ghost Festival. Yes, the 七月 (7th Month) is here and during this time, lots of taboos and things are going round. Most traditional Chinese will tell their children to stay out of danger and places during the night and to be wary around for any wandering spirits.

Just when you thought in this modern age there are no such things as spirits, you’ll never know when and where will ‘it’ happen.

Basically this is the time where spirits of the dead gets to roam free on Earth to enjoy the pleasures and to visit their family members who are still living. So of course, you’ll get to see many family members start offering things with candles. Now that’s good? Or rather to celebrate the homecoming of their ‘family’ and also to warned other spirits that they are well protected.

How many times we have heard about walking into the forest/jungle and the taboos around it. These are a few dos and don’ts.

1. Before entering the jungle, do all your toilet business first.
2. Ask permission before entering.
3. Never call your friends by name but by sound signals.
4. If a particular rock formation looks very comfortable, like a meeting spot or resting area, do not move it or sleep on it.
5. If a particular tree in a jungle is clean around it, without any leave droppings or looks cleared artifically, don’t disturb it.
6. When you smell jasmine, don’t turn around;pack your stuff and get away as fast as you can.

Final and foremost, whenever if you’re walking in the dark, and you are in the front and counting your members at the back, in the case you got an extra count, just treat everything as normal and reach camp immediately.
